Coach Cain has been coaching swimming for over 30 years, both at the club and scholastic levels. Prior to coaching at East, he was the head coach of Chapel Hill High School Swim Team, when in 2008 they became the first school in NC history to win both the men's and women's 4A titles in the same year.  Coach Cain is proud to be coaching the East Chapel Hill High School Swim team, and currently teaches ESL, Math and Civics at East.
